Hi,
i really wanted diamonds.... 10 lovely diamonds in my wedding band to match all the others i have... but getting dive gear again. whichs prompts the questions... what gifts have you received over the years and why?

eg, just from my hubby, I have been given over the years:
for my birthday over the years, i have been given
- a Zeagle BCD (he's version of sexy lingerie)
- i got a Dive Master course (or mistress as i call it)
- a dive computer
for our anniversary, i once got a dive watch
for christmas, i once got a new mask and snorkle
for our wedding, i got a new pair of booties

:)

When I became ceritified my parents bought me.....
a keychain(one of those neon ones you find at the beach in FL, with the snorkel tank and fins....yeah one of those)

my girlfriend for our first christmas bought me a dive knife(I do enjoy it)
and for 2nd anniversary bought me the crew pack for AOW (no more talking about doin it, don't have an excuse)

sorry if this was intended for ladies only

i should be apologizing - didnt think about the poor guys out there.

Last Christmas my Wife paid for the EFR Instructor course for me, this year, she's talking about contributing toward the cost of a new drysuit :)

hubby is easier to buy for, over the years he has received

olympus camera and housing
ikelite housing and strobes
liveaboard trips without me (i hate boats)
drysuit
1gb cards etc for camera
overseas holidays (June just gone was a 8 night trip to Vanuatu without me)
oh, and i let him trade in the family car to buy and create the "scubamobile truck/ute"...which he actually bought himself on my birthday-the salesman was in awe of him that day.

You all have a few months to work up a new version of "The 12 days of Christmas".

I think it's all an extension of how we choose to spend our disposable income. If that's our focus (or obsession) then why feel obligated to spend holiday money on something else?

I got a DR thigh pocket for Christmas. She got new dive gloves.

My SO is utterly clueless about diving so if I get anything remotely related it's a gift certificate to an online store.

Now THIS is what I call a wonderful relationship!!!!!

I'm jealous.

This past Christmas my boyfriend bought me an Abyss drysuit. When we went to get the underwear for it he ended up buying me a BP/W because I didn't like my BCD.
