paolov:
why did you leave the philippines by the way and miss out on no wetsuit diving?

.

If I stayed there, I probably wouldn't be able to afford to go diving...not that I could easily afford it now...heheh. First time I went on a dive there, I've always wondered why the DM was only using 2-4lbs weights. Then Jops(Versatile) tells me, sometimes he doesn't even use weights.

I'll probably get a 0.5mm if I were to visit our beautiful islands again...:D

REALLY? ... how does he do that? diving without weights ?

.

I'm not sure how he does that...I didn't see him do it on our dive. eyebrow

hehehhehe
maybe he uses t-shirt lang... and shorts.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!!!!

.

From memory, water temp sin Yap are about the 29 degree C mark :) that's about the sort of water temp that means I sweat underwater in anything more than a t-shirt and shorts.

As for weights, I'm quite happy with 4lbs with my 3/2mm wetsuit :)

Thanks all for your advice... what if i just shrink wrap myself hahaha. I think i need some coffee too. What other brands have 0.5mm here in Pinas. I know scubapro is MAHAL! I am not into brands naman
hey newbie,

FYI: Diver's Point along Wilson St. is having a sale on their wet suits right now. Very affordable. I'm pretty sure Scuba Stop along Metropolitan is also having one. Might wanna check them both out. Hope that helps!

Which part of Canada you from?

some divers here.... they take a cruise on 10-month liveaboard...

and they simply dive with whatever they got on their bodies. . .

... and they get paid for it.
