And I'd freeze in a 300G in mid-40s, so definitely can't imagine what undergarment you're using such that you're comfortable (i.e. warm) and don't need any extra weight in HP100s.

Odd.

I wear a DUI 300g bunny suit under my TLS350, and I need about 8# on top of my steel plate, and I need it low (5 in a tail pouch, three in a soft v-weight). If I took off the weight, I would be fighting head-down trim (in double HP100s).

You might consider lowering your tanks in the bands to shift the C/G further down your back and away from your head. Will certainly affect your trip and might reduce your need a little for those lower weights.

Usually a Whites Mk2 John one-piece and a thick pair of socks. Works for me, but perhaps I have a greater tolerance to cold. Once the water hits 55 F I ditch the hood, so that should probably say something about my tolerance for cooler waters.

That certainly would, but it would also make me reach more for the valves. I don't run them high, but they are comfortable where they are now.

LOL, yeah that explains it. I don't have nearly that kind of cold tolerance!
