I am looking for a Diving Doctor in the Tampa/St. Pete/Clearwater Area. Hubby had a pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis in January 2013 and had an IVC filter installed. We have pulmonologists, hematologists, and cardiologists that we see regularly. We are looking for one of these that is an actual diver. I have the list from DAN, but the ones that I have contacted are not divers but are trained in Hyperbaric.

We looking for a Diving Doctor that is an actual diver to render his opinion as to future diving yes or no!

Any assistance is appreciated. We are not opposed to traveling for an appointment with a Diving Doctor that dives.

I am an interventional cardiologist in Lakeland, Florida who has been diving since 1974. I teach diving from open water through CCR trimix and do technical and cave diving on closed circuit rebreathers regularly. I am also one of DAN's cardiology consultants. I would be happy to see you if you are interested. My office nurse can be reached to arrange an appointment at 863-680-7973 or you can email me (dgebersole@gmail.com) or call me (863-602-3410) anytime.
