I will be diving Blue Heron Bridge this coming Saturday with a friend who is trying out some new gear before a big dive trip. Should be getting there by 10am and in the water about 11:45 (high tide is at 12:27pm). If anyone is in the area and wants to stop by and say hi I;ll be at ehe west end of the parking lot near the boat ramp by the old bridge section now used for fishing. I think that Dr. Jay from the board will be coming with some friends and I'll give them a site orientation from the surface for those that haven't been there before. Also if anyone want to see what the whole DIR/bp/wing this is about (in case you've never actually seen one in person) I'll be diving mine.

I have a couple students need some Open water...Try to schedule them in on Sat and dive Abernathy's on Sunday

You have never dove the brige? Joe, you got to be kidding. The dive I will be doing is 1 hour long, max depth 18' avg depth 10'. Come on out if you want.

I'll do my best to get there. I'll invite the dive club, but I'm not sure how many I'll get to go.

10am ....oh well, it'll be worth the loss of sleep from what I hear about the dive ;).

Will the one dive float be enough for the whole group?

Depending on the amount of people coming, I would like to divide the group into teams of 2 (no more than 3). A flag per team is the way to go. Its also good practice towing a flag if you haven't done it before.

cudachaser once bubbled...

Joe,

My birthday is 2 days after that on the 24th! We can have a birthday dive together. :-)

You guys know they're expecting thunderstorms on Sat.

Will this affect the shore dive at all?

I am checking into it now. The NOAA marine forecast doesn't sound good for boats and said the intercoastal will be rough, but I'm checking to see if the area we will be diving will be greatly affected by it. Alternate plan may end up being Blue Springs. I'll will post something definate by Friday.
