What is the point? Basically you are causing huge distress to a fish for no purpose other than entertainment.

I don't eat any seafood. I used to get seafood (abalone, scallops mostly) for my family but I feel too bad about it now so I no longer do so (much to my family's disappointment).

do you eat beef? hamburgers? steak? chicken?

what about your shoes? any leather in them?

Yea. But they're not cute like sea critters so they're ok to eat.

One time I was taking a photo of a flounder, then my buddy like a ninja came out of the blue and stabbed it and took it home for dinner :( RIP Billy.

Cuttlefish and he said "Ha ha I knew that would piss you off."
Karma exists.

Fishing is an amazing part of our history as intelligent creatures on this planet.

Some of the most intelligent stories on SB seem to involve spear fishermen.

At least Billy served a purpose in the afterlife. Thats more than you or I will ever be able to say

Nah... I'm an organ donor :)

I have a similar problem with rabbits and chickens. We had rabbits when I was a kid. I had no problem butchering them. Now whenever I feed them I pet them and my daughter has named them, so I find it hard to butcher them. (Have not killed any the past 5 years). When I was a kid, there was a woman we purchased the rabbits from that would butchered them for us for a small fee when we had large parties. I hope to find someone to butcher the rabbits. We just use the chickens for eggs and control of snails/insects.

Rabbits are my absolute favorite game to hunt, hence the name. When I was younger I used to hunt almost everything, but now it's pretty much rabbits, fish and peafowl, (my sister has a flock that needs regular thinning).
