Three tanks $75 - 30 miles out (good viz :))on fast boat. If we have enough peeps the price goes down to $70. Boat leaves from Marker One Marina in Clearwater/Dunedin.

Before I call Capt. Mike, you mean 9.8.07 as for tomorrow? Where are we going to explore? Do you know the time leaving and returning? Do they have tanks ready? I didn't fill my tanks yet!

Uh ok... how did it go?

U didn't miss much at all. Ride was a bit rough - busted some gear. Catching air can be fun not over and over when good gear is aboard. Pics up in about 5 minutes. :)

Well, the day started out pretty crappy with Murphy showing up all over the place.

I should have known better to stow my gear better for the trip out. Lesson learned....do not lie your gear down with regs attached and hoses not properly positioned for the ride. I lost my LP inflator hose and my SPG was crushed.

This made dive#1 a cluster.....Kudos to Capt Mike and TampaUSMC for hooking me up with backup regs/spg! Unfortunately after 2 rolls off the boat and getting 20' down I blew an o-ring at different locations each time. I thumbed it after that and missed dive #1. This caused quite a bit of anxiety and combined with the swells at sea we saw the second coming of RALPH....thankfully I felt much better after chumming the waters off the side.

Dives #2 (59', 85F, 59min) & #3 (56', 84F, 53min.) went without any issues and I was glad to finally get weightless. Some really nice ledges and structure out there. We saw the usual suspect and I finally got to see a batfish and a toadfish that was completely out of his cave.:D

Thankfully shark ledge didn't stand up to its name.:11doh::coffee:
