Tread water for 20 hours.
Well, let's hope that he thought to ditch his weights and inflate his BC.

Still, I would certainly hate having to float all night and into the next day alone, unknowing, and all. I never leave town without my PLB, especially on one of our farms, on a hike, on a dive. We see stores in the news all of the time where bodies are found long after it's too late. Glad he made it.
 
Doesn't sound like he had an SMB either. I'm always surprised by how many divers lack basic safety equipment.

I do wonder how the captain lost two divers and how the two divers lost the boat from that wreck. Current is typically minimal on this coast.

BTW, we were out Thursday, still no signs of Red Tide here off Pinellas. Going out Monday as well.
