Hello! I'm a repair/service tech at a dive-shop here at home. A gentleman came in & mentione that the products at Diver's Direct, anywhere from apparel to necessary equipment, are all factory-seconds. Is this true?

My lobster snare, game bag and gloves all look first rate. Good prices. It's kind of hard to get a factory second tank.

I got one of the EVO Wetsuits from those folks. It's pretty good quality and they ship fast.

The items I've bought from them all look brand new. Actually their stores are pretty big and impressive - I doubt they could find that much factory secind dive equipment to sell.

No. Divers Direct is a chain of retail scuba stores that also has a catalog/mail order presence. In fact, I was in their Key West store last year and by square footage it is the largest LDS I've ever personally seen.

I am pretty sure they aren't second hand. To me they are like the Wal-Mart of diving.

I too have an EVO suit from them. I love it and service was great.

I ordered a pst120 from them a few weeks ago (they were the only ones who had them in stock) and my local shop had to replace the valve during vip. It was covered under pst's warranty.
I found them pleasant to deal with.
