Diverite Nitek He Stuck in Dive mode

I returned from a Mexico trip and when I unpacked I noticed the Nitek flashing and stuck at 7 ft in dive mode. I have tried everything except pulling the batteries. I think what happened is it was next to some whet gear and must have gotten wet at altitude flying.

Any thoughts?

I had a problem like this try cleaning the contacts with some vinigar. That fixed mine. The same thing happened.

Ended up fixing it by holding down both command buttons for what seemed like two minutes. It did a reset and cleared the 7" deep status and returned to surface mode.
Gotta be more careful about where I toss it in the bag.
