Bruce is my hubby :D Actually he's sickeningly good at trailer backing--GRRRRR! He's tried and tried to teach me and he's incredibly patient but he would probably have more success if he tried teaching the dog to back the trailer judging by the look she gives me when I try LOL! I'm just glad we aren't one of those couples you see fighting at the dock--I think trailer backing and boat loading have caused more than their share of divorces!

Been there, tried that, DIDN'T get the T-Shirt!

So, it's not just me! That's why I have to cram all my stuff into my MINI!

But when DB goes RB - he won't need all that room, or hauling capability......

After talking to several buddies, I figured a way to finance a new vehicle that I wasn't planning to buy. Where do the buddies come in? With their encouragement, I went out shopping for a vehicle that will likely get me another 10-15 years and 200,000+ miles before requiring replacement instead of settling for a used station wagon like I was sorely tempted to do (hence save money to buy more dive gear). If I can the weekend off, it will be relatively brand-new at Meet and Greet. I am buying it brand new 2006 in early to mid April if all goes well. It is a small SUV and I will leave the rest for suprise.

To those that have helped me so far, thanks!!! You are great friends.

Too bad...I was already to cut you a deal on a 1985 F150 :-)

LoneShipwreckHunter;

This is all you need. I am not certain on the fuel mileage but it has quite a range and plenty of room for dive gear. It is air conditioned in the summer months and heated in the winter. Also, you will never go hungry!;) It is my rig of choice anyway. I checked on the hitch for the new toy your looking at, and it is going to run $150 us putting it in the weekend of Harbor Beach. Let me know what you decide.

What I have in mind will be able to do that and get 28 mpg (expressway) loaded to the gills. Still, you are in the same approximate type of vehicle. It has seating for 5 although the manufacturer claims 7 (must be talking about 2 adults and 5 children then :) ).

I will have on demand 4WD (handy for those winter roads that I have to drive) and can tow a small to medium trailer with the towing package if I where to get that. It has a tow rating of 3500 pounds.

I think that most people will be pleasantly suprised.

ok...i'll bite. What is it? If it can do all that I might be interested as well.
