Hello, and greetings from Germany. I started diving in the 90s, had several years every now and then without diving (kids etc) and now plan to get my Divemaster certification (with a divemaster internship) and join the crew of a sailboat that ideally has a dive compressor onboard.

That's the plan anyway! I hope to get some good advice here.
 
Most training is good and no reason to not work towards a DM certification. The best class that I took though, was one in Cavern Diving. A lot of good skills were required to pass and it made me a better diver.
 
From what i've heard, rescue diver is one of the best courses to improve the skills and make diving safer for myself and the other divers.
