looks like Dive with Martin, BlueXTSea, and
DeepBlue keep getting good comments. Anyone
have any negative experiences with any of
them?

We have used Dive With Martin twice, last November, 2003 and July, 2004. We really like their op and will be using them again in Oct and November. They don't overcrowd the boats, 8 divers max, but usually less than that. Also, they take us where we ask, not just the closest sites so they are back sooner. Surface intervals are usually at one of the beaches. Pick up at 7:30. Have fun :)

I hate to say anything negative about any dive op. Everyone has different expetations of what they look for in a dive op and if the op doesn't deliver what you expect it doesn't mean the op is not any good.

With that said. I will say that Blue XT Sea will keep your gear and rinse it off daily and have it on the boat the next day geared up on the tank. Personal service goes a long way.

DM Raul and BC Mago are excellent. Raul finds everything you want to see and is happy to do it. I am sure he sees the same thing day after day but makes it feel like it's the first time. Mago pulls the boat close so you don't have to swim to it and helps you in the boat and also will entertain you with magic tricks during SI. Christi's customer service is as good as it gets. She goes out of her way to make sure your vacation is memorable. :07:

We used DWM last summer when we took the family diving (6 of us, kids ages 13-20). They gave us a private boat. It was great. I feel they were an excellent operation. Pablo was great with us since we had varying levels of experience among us. I highly recommend them.

We have also used Dive Palancar when we were without the family. I felt they were good too.

Dive with Martin has been highly recommended to me by a very good friend who is a DM certified diver himself. I will be using them for the first time in Sept.

I have used DWM on 3 different trips and wouldn't use any one else now! They are very attentive, their boats and staff are excellent, and they acknowledged our experience and took us where we wanted to go. Never felt rushed and always - maybe by coincidence - always had a private boat for myself, hubby and a couple friends.

I recommend BlueXT Sea. Christi and her team provide a consistanly high level of service.

Another for BlueXT Sea. You just can't beat their combo of fast boat, small group, great DM and Captian. We dove w/them about 6mths ago and will be our operation on future trips.

This forum is for discussions about Cozumel.

Newbie,

I recommend Deep Blue. I have used them twice now for over 20 dives and I have been very happy with them. Small fast boats, decent gear, excellent DMs and they try to give you what you want. They can handle a variety of experience levels, and they are conveniently located (for me).

Of course it depends upon what you are looking for as for which dive op is "best".

The "rule of thumb" that I have seen on ScubaBoard is that any dive op with "blue" in the name of the business is a good one! --*laughing*--
