Dive trip

WE are takin our first dive trip to southern florida at the end of August(we are from the northeast). We will be staying in the cape coral area. Are there any good spots either by boat or from the shore from maybe Naples up to Venice? Shore would be great beause its cheaper and more diving is possible. WE are also planning on driving to the keys, so I guess same questions, good dive outfits and shore dives on the upper keys? Also, what thickness suit is adequate at the end of August. Any other suggestions/info would be great

Venice is going to be your best option for shore diving close to Cape Coral...drop me a PM or post a thread on this board if you want some company....no shore diving in the upper Keys, but there are many good dive ops that are all reasonably priced...just do some searching here on SB and you will learn all you need to know..as for exposure protection, it's all personal, but you will find many who dive either a 3mm full or 3mm shorty...shouldn't need more than that
