Wow. I may just have to go load up the van and get gas. Report just came in from the NCoast that Gerstle Cove was 1-3' vis and surgy today and getting worse, so it looks like Monterey is the choice. Anyone have any particular spot in mind for tomorrow?

Ah, now I hear indirectly from an instructor who had a class at the BW today that conditions are indeed calm, but there is a lot of particulate matter in the water and vis at BW was less than 3 ft. That doesn't mean somewhere else isn't good, or that it won't be good tomorrow. FWIW.

I think Michelle, Brad and I are thinking about trying for Lovers or Corral Street. Do you have Michelle's # or want mine?

I hope those planning to dive today checked the forecast before they left.
Always check the forecast when you get up on dive day.
ALWAYS check conditions by eyeball before diving.

We looked when we got there and decided that we should go to the aquarium. Midday it looked like it calmed for about an hour or so, but then it picked back up. Jeff stuck around at Breakwater. Hopefully conditions within the cove at Pt Lobos are ok tomorrow. :)

At the Breakwater this morning there was some chop and a little surf to make entries and exits interesting. Vis prospects did not look as though they had improved from yesterday, and after standing around for a while everyone except for me decided to pass and go to the aquarium. I decided to pitch in and help with one of the classes, and sure enough, vis was 1-3 feet. Pretty funky, especially the tour part of the class, which was basically an exercise in staying together and not much else. In the picture you can see some students crawling out near the rocks.

So while Jeff was doing that - Michelle and I were being exposed to Brad's huge ............ well, you see.
