To the OP: note that JDC does 3-tank dives on Fridays and Sundays - you'd get back a bit later, but might make the amount of driving more worthwhile.
I was going to suggest the same thing but was being sensitive to the family and their rental car. The 3 tanker on Friday is particularly good, tend to be less divers than Sunday. You'd be getting home about dinner time, they serve lunch after the 2nd dive.

Good to hear! I'll be trying the 3-tanker for the first time this Memorial Day weekend - both Fri and Sun....although given the holiday weekend, might be a bit more packed than normal.

JDC boats are very roomy. 3 tanker has a max of 15 divers whereas 2 tankers take up to 22. Aside from less divers, 3 tanker requires AOW and nitrox cert, divers are generally pretty experienced and skilled. A great time
