Just moved to Jakarta, will be here three years. Looking to hook up with local dive shops, dive clubs, that organize trips to do some local diving. Any suggestions?<br>

You wont find much more actually, this is almost all (in Jakarta)...

I have personal excellent experience with:
-Banyu Baru (for tech dive)
-Bubble (Arie organized me some trip)
-Divemasters (in Jakarta and Bali mainly for shopping stuff as they are PADI dealer)
-Sea Pearl (and their counter part in Bali for Scubapro shopping)

Hi there,

Thanks for this information - really helpful. I wondered whether any of these shops were open on a Sunday? I have about 5 hours on a Sunday afternoon to buy all my dive gear before a connecting flight..... Is this doable? Or am I going to need to build in some time in Bangkok to get everything.

I'd be grateful for any help you can give!

Airport is a long way from town. I'd be nervous to leave the airport for a shopping trip.

You'd be better off buying gear in Phuket than in Bangkok if you can't get it before your trip.

Ideally a place which has week evening classroom and pool training, somewhere around south Jakarta, combined with weekend open water dives.

I'm about to move to Jakarta myself. I'd love to participate in a dive club. I've just started tec/rec diving, having completed my Intro and Sidemount courses.
