Man, I miss picking up those teeth, even the little ones. Thanks for posting reports.

So excited. Will be down there in a few weeks. Staying in Englewood, June 20 - July 5. It's been 2yrs since my last tooth dive. ( thx Covid :banghead: )

Nice mako. Bet you were bummed when it had no root. How deep were you? Thanks for the updates.

anyone on here do dives off a kayak?
will probably rent a tandem for a week while we are down there and thinking of trying a few dives off of it.

Any tips, pros/cons?

Thanks

I yak dive although I don't know about using a tandem. You definitely want to use a sit on top. I have a Cobra Fish/Dive. I assemble my BC on the beach & place it in the rear well. The rest of my gear goes inside the hatch. Make sure you tether everything to the boat. I have a tether that connects my BC to the yak. If you don't have an inside hatch, I recommend you tether mask & fins as well. When I get to my site, I dump my BC in the water. (I have integrated weights.) Don mask & fins. Then jump in & put the BC on in the water. Reverse the procedure when exiting. You must use the larger size dive flag on the yak as it is considered a boat & not a float.
