Blocks @ Venice Public Beach
Winds: < 5 mph
Tide: outgoing
Surf: < .5 ft
Water Temp: 85
Viz: 1- 5ft 1st dive, 1-3ft 2nd dive
Found a double handful of small teeth & assisted #1 dive buddy (wife) in mapping blocks for her DM mapping project
 
Well, I went to do S. Brohard this morning only to run into some kind of bike race. Soooo.....I ended up doing Venice Beach instead. Glad I did! Nice reef there. Saw a nice size snook as well as grouper. Winds were pretty calm when I went out. A storm cell passed through as I was out there. Yanked the boat around pretty good until it passed & then seas calmed right back down. Viz was a good 7 -9 ft. at a max depth of 17 ft. Outgoing tide. Water temp 84 on the bottom. Twas a very nice dive!

made it to the sand bar meet Ben coming in, said there was no vis, called the dive
 
Went sun the (5th) 23-25 fsw had 3'-4' of viz did 2 dives.. lots of surge on bottom... could move you 2-3' ft at times.. seemed NE direction.... anyways... found horse, whale, and shark teeth... and 3 intact megs 2-3" ers... silt was almost all but gone...
 
Did S. Brohard at 10:00 am. Seas were calm, water temp 86, Viz 7 -9 ft. & saw 1 moon jelly. Also saw a nice size goliath grouper & had a cobia chase me around for a bit. Incoming tide.

Vis <1'-4' , vis was good at the base of the sand bar but drop in 16'-21' some areas were better that others, opened up again in the 22'+ depths
Finds 1 mako 1 5/8" and a whale bone with bite marks and some small stuff

viz was 5-7 ft
noting great just a few smallys, still a pretty fine layer of silt but seems to be getting better!
 
vis today was best I have seen enitre year top to bottom
some whale snot/particles in the water but not enough to effect vis.
water temp was nice 84' on bottom and surface 82'
am was high tide by afternoon tide was almost out and had no effect on vis.
winds 7-9 knts out of East was like a pond

one diver on his 10 dive ever found a 5 inch meg !!!! :D
