Met up with John W. at GGD packed up and headed to dive under the Intracostal Bridge going from Perdido Key towards Pensacola. Arrived on site at 10:30. High tide was to be around 11:30ish.
Suited up at the truck and got in to go out to dive around the wooden channel markers. Vis was a solid 8' and maybe 10' from time to time. Current was mild running from east to west.
Saw quite a few Sheepshead but we were looking for Stone Crabs and we got a good number of claws, probably 3 1/2 - 4 lbs.
Dive time 1:06 and a Great Dive. THis site can be done give or take a hour from high tide with just a mild current.

I've yet to dive out under that bridge despite hearing about others having done so... I might have to give it a whirl soon enough, thanks for the report.

Whiskey had 10-12' of visibility Saturday morning, about the same time.

Glad you were able to catch dinner!! :D

This may sound like a dumb question but, I'm curious as I have been thinking of nabbing some cabs myself, you mention that you got a number of claws, did you take the claws off the crabs and leave the crabs behind?

Yes you can only take one claw and none on a egg bearing female.

This is some of the Claws
