Well the diving has been overshadowed by the accident at Navarre pier on Sunday, but I feel a strong urge to post my strong belief that it's a safe and wonderful place to dive. Check my pictures from Fridays dive before Vortoberfest if you need proof of the fantastic life that abounds at the site.

Burrfish were everywhere:

Octopus were in the open:

But some Octopus were hiding:

Some not so well:

Here is a great video I shot of an Octopus changing colors. Watch as I move closer and he goes into hiding how he changes from dark to light and then dark again.....Isn't that cool!

Here is a Burrfish who was irratatated with me following and then "Puffed":

Great Photos as Always! That close-up of the octo is just too good. I can see his nostrils!

I may have to get that one framed, I hate to admit that I was also suprised at how good it turned out. It's bad when you get a woody from a good picture!!!:shakehead:

Very nice

That Octo picture is just awesome! unfortunitely when I see it I get irritated because I should have been right next to you during that dive :shakehead:. When I saw surfers out I just figured it was better to head on to Vortex. Man, was I wrong!
