Guess who? Yup, It's me back at Navarre Pier! I had Alex (Hetland) with me this time and another diver from Mobile. We hit the water at just about 12:30, and I have to tell you it was a bit chilly, I was showing 59* on my dive computer! Yikes! We hit all the usual spots around the pilings, the viz was real good at about 30 feet, and we enjoyed a lot of great Photography in our hour long dive. We were not disappointed by the Octopus, as usual there were several to photograph, but most were very camera shy this time around. There were a few Angels, Sheepsheads, A couple HUGE Grouper, some Red Fish, Snapper, Doctorfish, a striped burrfish, a single flounder, and about 5 Octopus. Oddly enough not a single Ray, must be too cold for them? Sadly the sands are shifting a bit again and more stuff was covered up, in fact the first section off the beach which used to have a big cave is almost completely buried. :depressed:
Still a great dive for the cost....... One air fill!:D

Pics to follow......

Anything to add Alex? And how about some pics?

What do you think this Octopus is? Notice the Horns and papillae? Could it be a White spotted Octopus that has turned itslef white as a Warning or in fear?

Man I wish we had octopi everywhere. Nice shots. Thanks for sharing :D

Ocopii are hard to identify apart from each other since they can change their own shapes, colors, and textures...

I like the first blenny photo, cropped and it could be great!

First Blenny photo is frikkin' perfect. My camera is allergic to those little guys. The octo with the horns was making them appear and disappear, perhaps to look more meancing. He seemed more frightened than angry to me.

Here's a cropped version:

Funny.... My wife has those same horns that can appear and disappear!:D

Not much to add to XRay's report. My comp showed a lowest temp of 56F. It was frikkin' freezing Mr. Bigglesworth! I've never seen the water so clear at Navarre, but I'm worried about all the low spots that are filling in with sand.

It was a great dive, and I'm looking forward to hitting it again soon.

Some pics (may add vid later):
