Got a chance to hit Ft. Pickens this AM and with a high tide at late morning it couldn't have been timed better. The water looked very tanic at the shore which stayed with us through about the first 10-15 feet but we lost the tannic water below 15 feet and it opened up a bit. At the vertical tire inside the rebar (30 feet deep) we had viz at around 10 feet, once I got down into the sand after tying off our flag we had viz of close to 15-18. You could make stuff out at 20 feet but just shadows but this made finding some of my old landmarks easier. We found the toilet, The Vertical tire, the monster tires, the jeep axle/tire, the small car frame, the organ, the golf cart, the propane tank and the Concrete culvert next to it, the round coil/spool, and a couple of new frames I hadn't seen before one is box shaped and just shows the ribs of something big and square.

Most of the rocks are covered in Anemone and there are a lot of the long spaghetti anemones everywhere as well as quite other anemones....and thick! There is still a serious lack of colored fish but there were a TON of sheepshead, and some schools of black snapper and a couple grouper. All in all a nice dive.

Water temp was 68* all the way to the bottom which I had at 50 feet for a dive lasting about 50 minutes.

Just a couple of crappy ones and some short crappy video!

Nice!! Glad the water is warming up!
