Went diving yesterday 12/9 at Canoe Beach in Nahant. Great conditions, water was like glass. Tide was coming as we entered water. Two other groups were also diving there.

Nahant police generally don't mind if you park there in winter as long as you ask, summer is another issue. Great alternative to Cape Ann if you're near the area.

Visibility probably 20-25ft. Not much fish life left out there but some nudibranchs sighted. Water temp was 44f and max depth for me was 34ft. We hit the chimneys and that other cavern on both dives. A few keeper sized lobsters were sighted, one large one with eggs.

I think I might have met you; Did you come back to the site after you dove to check it out again? I met someone that had dove there in the morning.

I tend to do Canoe Beach pretty often in the winter due to it's location and easy parking in winter.
