Don't let Doc scare you, Mike. He's quite an amicable guy from what I know of him so far. :) And besides there will be plenty of us without scooters. I was in your place months ago. Just get out there and dive. And do it as much as you possibly can. That uneasiness goes away eventually.

Heck I might look like I'm serious by that time with my dry suit. I'm only going that route because I'm sick of freezing my butt off when I do repetitive dives. :) Chuck thinks the rest of us are crazy for diving in wetsuits. :) To each their own. :)

You will need to sign up for you and your buddy at the same time and will need both of your certification #s to do the reservation.

You do not need to sign your buddy up when you make the reservatoin. You only need
the team leader's name and C card number. Sunday at Lobos there was a group there
that had made all the reservations with both names and was busily trying to change
things around. I never put a buddy's name down when I make a reservation, and it's
never a problem.

You do both need your C-cards the day of the dive. No C-card, no dive.

Hey, I did two this year (The Barge and the Metridium Fields for the Beach Dive Photo
Compeition). It woulda been three, but the guest of honor bailed and my buddy and I
took the whaler out.

so 2 dives... one dive day a year? So how many weekends do you dive a year? :)

Cool report Mike.... Say if you ever want to try a back plate i have a spare single rig available... :)

Ben - that'd be awesome. As for Mr. T - someday. I am honing my skills to be able to meet the challenge! :D

If Ben cheeses out for some reason, I'll be his relief pitcher and take you there. My last dive at Monastery was a solo night dive, with a new moon, no less. :eyebrow

And Doc, if you want, I'll bring my video camera and you can play around with it to see if you'd like one. The video does come out nice and clear.

Maybe we should all go together? If only so that you both have some help dragging me out in the surf! :rofl3:

More seriously though - it sounds like it would be a lot of fun. I know it would be a nice challenge - and I am always up for a bit of a challenge.

Thanks for the update on that Chuck - I actually was (obviously) laboring under a misconception.. As always - much obliged for being set straight. :)

I want to do a Monastery dive and learn how to exit without getting berries in all my gear. Dan, you could give us all a class on your backwards exit. :eyebrow:
