Comments: Mike visiting from a Texas Army base for a few days wanted to get wet, so we went to Laguna on Sunday and Redondo Beach (had to show property there right after the dive) on Tuesday afternoon. As he flys on Wednesday we had a hard out of the water time of 4:00PM. Swam out from the stairs till even with the end of the pier and dropped down into 34 feet but near the edge of the canyon. Slipped on over the gentle incline and eventually found the steeper sides of the canyon. Planed dive for 80 FSW and leveled off there. Swam to the East toward Topaz Jetty for 3 minutes, then up to 45 feet and back to our entry point and then into shore. Saw a few small 2-3" halibuts, starfish, crabs and senorita fish. That was about it. Came across some depressions that looked like a good size bat ray had been there. Made our exit cleaned up just in time to meet my clients at a nearby home at 4:00 PM.
