Just wondering if anyone knows if any of the dive shops in Playa Del Carmen area travel to dive sites in Cozumel?

Thanks for the info. I would like to get at least a couple dives in cozumel while im in Playa Del Carmen. But for the sake of convenience I will probably do most of my dives in the Playa Del Carmen area.

Be careful, because there are a few that will make it sound as if they run trips to coz with their boats, but put you on the ferry when you show up in the morning and then put you on one of their boats.

Don't forget to check out a day or two of cenote diving. The conditions are back to awesome.

Agree the Cenotes are awesome. We went with Diego from the Abyss Dive Shop who was fantastic. The dive experience was great as was his knowledge of the history. Highly recommend.

Amy,

You don't mention what and when your plans are but...my girlfriend and I just got back from a similar trip and had a GREAT experience.

We stayed in PdC for 3 days and dived cenotes on 2 of them with Dennis at http://www.diablodivers.com/ Great, personalized service.

We then took the ferry across and stayed on Cozumel for 6 days and dived with http://www.liquidbluedivers.com/ We couldn't have asked for more. Larger steel tanks = more bottom time. Early departures and Roberto asked where we wanted to go rather than being told where they wanted to take us.

Great coral heads and marine life - Octopi, 8' - 10' spotted eagle rays, lobsters, eels...even a spotted drum.

They've really cleaned up the area after 2 hurricanes and are welcoming all commers gladly.

I believe that the Abyss dive shop has trips to cozumel also, but Tankha deffinetely does.
