Santa Maria - 6 August -Wagner Conceição, 32 years old, known as Boina, died today, Wednesday, around 16h30, disapearing in the sea near the beach of Santa Maria while he accompanied some tourists in the area of Ponta de Sinó.
The body was rescued around 17h45 by the National Police with the support of the Military Police and diving teams.
Boina was located on the seabed by a friend and professional colleague, Jucelino Soares, who informed Ocean Press that, since the sea was very rough, it took about 1h00 to find him, being apparently trapped between two rocks more or less 17 meters of depth from the boat carrying the tourists.
Jucelino reports: “I did not touch the body, I just called the police".
Boina was a surfer, besides being an instructor at the surf school "Manera School".
According to another friend, Didi, "It was a great loss. Boina was everybody’s friend and son. What hurts the most was to see him on the seabed".
The population is in shock at this sad loss.
