I think this maybe why I have seen divers carrying Glocks pistols.
Gotta make sure it's the Glock 17 with the marine spring cup fitted so that it can properly cycle underwater. No, really.

Alfa is the international spelling. Alpha is the American spelling.
Just like Aluminum is the American spelling Aluminium is the international spelling.

Actually, I have never seen it spelt "alfa" until I came to the USA. It has always been "alpha" everywhere I go.
Just like I have never seen it spelt as "rediculous" until I meet some Americans.....

My Funk and Wagnels lists the spelling of the past tense of spell as, "spelled."
"Alfa" is the spelling given for the phonetic word used in the phonetic alphabet for the first letter of the Roman alphabet, "A," in the International Code of Signals. It is not the name of the first letter of the Greek alphabet, which is "alpha."
