I'm trying to get a feel for the dive conditions over the nexgt couple of days for a friend. They are potentially interested in doing beach dives at either La Jolla Shores or Vet's Park over the next couple of days. The swell models look crummy, but I was wondering if anyone knows for sure and could share. Thanks.

Normally, Vets is a lot smaller then the surrounding area based on its deep canyon. I have seen it divable when other places close by are not even touchable.

I was actually looking for more onsite intel. Have you seen the surf conditions today at all?

Vet's today was almost flat...ankle lappers going in at 10:15, but starting to pick up slightly (2ft) but with long intervals on the way out 11:30ish. A bit surgy on the bottom, vis was a milky 12 ft.

Models predict craptastic conditions, so I'm heading to Casino Pt on Thur. morning instead.

Recent reports on divebums incidate 2' surf with 10-20' viz.
Swell is from the west which appears to be missing the Shores.
