I read on facebook or somewhere that vis off Galveston is really good right now.
Someone went fishing at one of the near rigs and said they could see fish 30’ below them.

The water just off the beach was clear also. People wading took pics looking into water waist deep and the water was clear enough to easily see the bottom.
 
288 Lake, 9 June. 86 degrees to 19 ffw, where there was a mild thermocline. 10'ish viz.

84 degrees, viz was maaaaaybe 2' in the good spots, due in large part to the monsoon that we had to drive through on the way there. Quite a bit to see underwater and a nice set of labeled lines running between the u/w attractions which makes navigating easy, no matter what the viz is.

I love that places like this exist:
