Water Temperature a warm 70 degrees - 3 mil worked fine for 65 minute bottom time

Max Depth 40 feet

Visibility varied, average 7 feet, best 10 feet.......some spots for short periods dropped a few feet...

I thought for Texas great Visiblity...

Single shore dive made at 1030AM to the sunken boat and power plant. Large black bass and cats.
Surface Conditions: calm
Surface Temperature: 63 degrees
Temperature at 40 ft.: 60 degrees
No detectable thermoclines.

Visability 38 to 40 ft: 3 to 4 ft.
Visability 38 to 30 ft: 8 to 10 ft.
Visability 30 ft to surface: 10 to 15 ft.

Wore one pc. 5 mil with 7/4 mil hood and was very comfortable.

Since my last dive there, lines have been run from the boat to the power plant. For those with the training / experience, there is a penetrable structure at the power plant site.

I wouldn't report this but north end conditions were pretty different.

Vis: Solid 15-20 away from other divers. Plane and surrounding area was mucked up, but that's to be expected.

Surface temp 66. Thermal developing at 27: Temp above 62; temp below 59.

Found the plane. Bass actively hunting.

Dry suits are good.

Lake Travis - Bob Wentz Park (WP Public)
Air Temp: 81f clear skies, windy, very choppy surface
Surface Temp: 68f
Depth Temp: 61f at Max 83'
Vis: 5-15 feet down to 83', very spotty, great in places
Lake Level Down 28'

Cool morning showers were followed by sunshine making a great afternoon of diving after the previous days much needed rain. Visibility is great in some places, but inconsistent (thus 5-15'). Vis and temps seemed to differ quite a bit by location, but overall nice for lake Travis. Water a bit warmer, noticeably 61f at max 83'.

Lake Travis - Mansfield Dam Park
Air Temp: 92f clear skies, light wind
Surface Temp: 67f
Depth Temp: 61f at Max 73'
Vis: 5-15 feet down to 73', very spotty, great in places
Lake Level Down 28'

Very warm day, high 95f, provided a nice evening to go diving. Vis is still inconsistent, but looking like it could really open up soon, especially now that day temps are beginning to hit the 90's. Expect that as surface temps increase, lake temps will stratify and produce some great visibility before the summer algae blooms come. We'll see soon enough...

Apr 25th Windy Point Public.
Parked on the sand spit. Followed the line to the now classic! "Zinc Restriction" and followed the line of rocks/grottos.
Viz at 60 feet was around 10 feet but getting worse deeper. Surface temp 67. 58 at 70 feet.
Noticeable thermocline at 20-30 feet.

Explored West Point dive site, across from Starnes Island, formerly used as a dive training park.

Vis was 10 feet or more. Temps: Surface - 30' - 70*, 30'-59' - 66*, 60'+ - 61*.

Site includes several power boat hulls, sail boat with large mast, platforms at varying levels, and miscellanous other items.

Set a mooring line and the group pulled lines between major attractions.

Come out for a dive from Giant Stride and explore another newly resurrected dive site.

Thanks to the dive team for working the site today.

CSSP
Surface Temp: 70f
Depth Temp: 57f at Max 40'
Vis: Vairied largely, maybe due to classes, some spots 4' other spots greater than 10 feet, thermocline is starting to form, very very faint but its starting to form.

Black line is depth, purple is temp, the humps are most likely me scootering over underwater mounds/rocks, when vis is down you don't have much time to react and I was going along the contours of the ground.
