Hi,

I'm looking for a few dive buddy's to get back in to diving again. The last time I've gone has probably been like 2 years ago. I have an advance NAUI cert. and would like to start going on a regular basis again. I'd like to start with some local dives. None of my friends are divers, so I figured I'd try this website.
Some of the places I've gone diving...

Great Barrier Reef, Lizard Island
Great Barrier Reef, Heron Island
Jamaica
Casina Point, Catalina Island
Maui
Florida Keys
Santa Barbara, CA
San Diego, CA
Laguna Beach, CA
Mexico somewhere

Let me know if you're interested,
John

Welcome to SoCal.

You will see alot of planned dives here and on the BeachCrab section. (Here is the "crabs" link:
http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/beach-crabs/ ). Feel free to join in the fun and you will find those willing and able to be good dive buddies. Some of us will be over at Casino Point this Saturday as an example. Blow the dust off your equipment and maybe take a refresher, but please get wet with us. Hope to see you in the water soon.

Come on out and join the fun!

Just post up when and where you want to go diving and usually somebody would chime up and be your dive buddy.

if it's a boat dive or Casino Point in Catalina then I'm all over it. I'm not too keen with shore/beach diving.

Ditto!! I'm always game for more dive buddies. While I'm not the biggest fan of beach diving, one of my funnest dives was a beach dive. Ironically, it was the surface swim that was so memorable.

There were 5 of us and as we're swimming out we all start to sing the theme song that used to play on Discovery Channel. The "boom dee ya, boom dee ya" type thing. Singing, swimming, clear night sky, waves crashing and not a soul around. Even though the dive wasn't so memorable, I think I'll retain that one forever.
