dive buddy needed, monterey, july 8th - 18th...

i'm flying in from wichita, kansas to visit relatives in monterey and am looking for a dive buddy for a few dives during july 8th - 18th. I recently got my OW/OWA certs in a fresh water lake here, so i'm pretty green. am scheduled for a boat dive with Monterey Bay Dive Center for saturday july 9th, but would also like to explore other areas on other dives.

hey chuck, thanks for sharing that information. hopefully i'll be able to hook up with experienced divers when i'm there.

i'm still hoping to make that boat dive on saturday but my jaw really started aching yesterday. my last dive was on monday and i felt great tuesday, then wednesday my left ear/jaw joint was tender, then yesterday both joints/ears were sore. i guess it could be TMJ syndrome. On my deep dive i was wearing a loaner hood that was too small for my head and it shoved my jaw up tight.

I'm looking at diving the Silver Prince on July 16, at 12:30. I don't know Monterey, but I am familiar with CA cold, kelp diving....I don't have a buddy for that trip yet either...

that will work out great for me. my jaws/ears still ache a bit :frown:, so i'll reschedule from 9th to the 16th on the silver prince. see you then!
