Dive Buddy in Upstate NY (Schenectady area)

Hi, I am here for work over the summer and am looking for a fun and safe dive buddy to go diving with over the weekends and learn the area. I am currently located in Schenectady, but would be more than happy to drive a 1-2 hours for a fun dive with good visibility. If anyone is interested, please let me know. I am new here and don't really know the dive community that well. Thanks!

Lake George/Lake Champlain? I wasn't a diver when I lived in the Capital District, and wonder too where folks dive "locally" around there...

That's one thought I had but based on kayaking over the water, it does not look like it has great visibility but I may be wrong. I still would have to find a dive buddy out here.

There is also Get Wet, a group of local divers, who interact with all the other operators and clubs locally.
