Take the warning on the packaging seriously though. If you plan to use it put your head underwater. It makes no sound underwater other than some furious bubbling. But on the surface it is the best noisemaker out there.
 
Anyone use the Dive Alert 2? Is it worth it?

If you're drifting off into the open ocean while the beer-drinking-wrong-way-looking boat crew thinks you're still 80' down on a drift dive, it's worth quite a bit.

Take the warning in the box about "submerging your head while using it" seriously. If you fire it off while your head is above water, you'll be deaf in at least one ear.

I keep mine in the H2O setting and it's still plenty loud for above water use!
