OK - so the Mares SETA is getting a little grungy. I know you can snap this thing apart, dismantle it and give it a good soak, but I can't get the little flangey-type thing across the top off.

Does it pull out, or does it pull up? I don't want to force it and it doesn't seem to want to go either way. Any thoughts?
