DIR for me????

It is often the case that the more knowledge and experience a person has, the less room there is for arrogance and attitude.

Narrowmindedness has in my opinion absolutely no place in technical diving, or any type of diving for that matter, since it can be directly hazardous to your life. Of the serious technical divers I have met, none has ever had a negative or arrogant attitude. This wether they have been trained by GUE or IANTD.

I am taking the DIRF class July 19 here in Los Angeles, and are looking forward to learn more how to improve my diving.

DIR Tec Diver once bubbled...

If you run into some of the aggressive and degrading proclaimers of DIR, just contact some of us or any GUE instructor and you will find DIR to be open, helpful and very passive as it is all about education and helping others not forcing a gear configuration down someone's mouth.

I dont know if it ever reached the US or elsewhere but in the UK there was a comedy Sci fi show called Red Dwarf about a group trapped on a space ship. One of the characters 'rimmer' was a dork who could only exist as a hologram and went around with a shiny 'H' (for hologram) on his forhead. I just have this mental picture of some of the DIR posters here looking like this with little H's (for you you know what) stuck on them.
