I am on the list and already used it to contact the other South Florida person.
The SFL-DIR : SFL-DIR group usually receives a couple of requests for people that want to join and to get in you need GUE training or to dive with a current member. I find myself diving with people in the area that way, too. I'll be doing that this Saturday.
