I just don't log dives
I am getting ready to make the switch to DIN.

Where can I get/buy a quality sumersible cover for a DIN regulator first stage? Sumersible as in soaking in a bucket of fresh water before being dry/stow.

Are you doing it yourself or is your LDS doing it for you? Either way I would think it would be included in the conversion kit. I would ask at a dive shop.

Its not a cover, it a threaded cap, it seals against the o-ring on the regulator's DIN attachment. My two Apeks DIN regs came with caps[-], didn't yours?[/-]. (Sorry, the first time I read this I didn't "get" that you don't have the conversion yet! :doh2:)

Edit, this is a picture of the caps on an Apeks Tek3 reg set:

FYI, the reason you want something like this is that the o-ring on the regulator's DIN attachment could very well fall out without it.

I have converted a few yoke regs to din and did not get any caps with them. I did get a few from TDL Tech Diving Limited that had the proper sealing surface for the o-ring. They do not seem to be shown on their website, but I called and ordered a bunch of stuff that wasn't on their website. I would not hesitate to dip my first stage unpressurized using these caps.

My scubapro DIN kit did not come with any caps.

Any soakers here have good success/reviews with the dive rite caps not leaking?

Don't want to chance any leak into the first stage while soaking. So it must be top quality caps.

Virtually all on-line scuba vendors offer some form of DIN cap. The usual approach is a threaded, delrin DIN cap that sells for $8 - 10. One post mentioned Dive Rite Express. You can also look at Reef Scuba (reefscuba.com).

I'd suspect that either Innovative or Trident would sell a DIN cap that would serve your purpose.
