What is the difference between the Oceanic Probe QLR and the probe LX i noticed a price difference but the descriptions are the same. Is the LX newer if so what was added. Any help would be great thanks.

James

I just happened to look at the Probe, Probe FX, and Probe LX today over at Scubatoys. There are differences in the materials used, the pocket placements, and the number of "D-rings". You might be able to study the pictures, but it seems like you really would have to lay them down side by side to analyze it more closely. Hard to tell when they are hanging on a rack.

I have a Probe LX, which is new this year. I believe it has a few extra and slightly bigger D-Rings and a tank height loop on the back, that the older may not have. When I got mine it was the same price at my LDS as older Probe's were in the online stores. QLR (Quick load release) is still incorporated into the LX, they just dumped the name.
