John Chatterton and company did an extensive cave dive under Cozumel after preparing for the dive at Dos Ojos. They found 1000 year old Mayan artifacts and skeletons over a mile back in the cave. They theorize that a cenote eventually sealed itself way back in the jungle....
Anyway, there was some great footage from Coz, Coba, and Dos Ojos.

I'm pretty much unable to function throughout a normal workday, because mentally I'm gone....in Coz!!!!!!

See you guys there soon!!!!!

Dd :crafty:

I've seen that one before it's really interesting.

I've heard you can go into that cavern with a guide from Chankanaab, but only a slightly beyond the entrance.

I'm with you,my mind is already in Coz

Dos Ojos is a wickedly cool cavern/cave. I have amazing pics from inside that cave. I was just there over the New Year week.

Normally at this point I would be disabled by anticpation. However, this time it is a combination of anticpation and fear. We're taking our 7 month old. I have no idea how a week without quiet machines such as swings and bouncers and entertaining dogs is going to go...

Yes, I have seen that show as well

This one has been shown a few times. Chatterton has been criticized by some of the cave community, and you can read why in THIS thread from last time it was on.

I didn't realize at the time, that it was a re-run. There was an all new episode on Loch Ness later last night.
The discussion in the thread about DSD/Chatterton, and the cave diving community is interesting. I don't want to comment on it further, because everything that needed to be said is on that thread.
I DID want to point out that there was great footage of Coz, Coba, and Dos Ojos!
And...I'm jumpin' out of my socks in anticipation of my trip!!! ;)

Is it the episode where they pound on the ceiling of the cave to locate another closed up opening?

I watched it.
"Suddenly our comm system started to malfunction and our lights started to fail... was it the ghost of Nessy?... it was the scariest dive I've ever been on."
Oh, brother...

Maybe it was the creature from the black lagoon messing with 'em :icon28:
