I have been thinking about diving the L8 as well. Though I have not heard much about it other than the limited vis. How does the wreck look?

i liked it. even tho the viz was limmited. (some days better than others)
and the rest of the crew and customers liked it too, its intact with a starboard list.
were planning on goin back, mabye even this weekend...
if your intrested PM me i can give you the contact info for the capt. of the boat

You should totally do this... I think it would increase my chances of actually doing the U-853... :D
i take it you have that u-853 curse that so many have..
every time i booked a spot on a charter, it got canceled due to weather or broken boat.... it took me 3 years to finally get out there..
now ive been there 3 times in the last month..

Thanks for the scoop. I have my own boat and the coordinates, I just have not prioritized going over there yet. It's been on my radar screen to do it though. When I'm diving that area I'm usually staying at Block Island and diving the Bass/U854. How would you compare the L8 to the U853 in terms of wreckage to see?

our chartes hopefully will do the L* next weekend, but it usually get put to what
the majoraty of the people who chartered the boat want to do. and that usually ends up being the u-boat
