My first rig was Halcyon with ss backplate, and I really like it. Then I added an aluminum backplate for summer and, after a while, got lazy of moving the wing from one plate to the other, so I bought some additional wing, sta etc.
Nowadays I just mix from whatever comes first and honestly cannot tell the difference. I think if we could do a blind test (like coke vsm pepsi), many divers will not be able to tell the differences
