Hi All,

Uk based & looking at a last minute holiday with my non-diving wife.
Seen a really good deal to do a twin centre in mexico
1 week in El Dorado Royale, Puerto Morelos (15 min drive from playa de carmen so I am told) then 1 week at the Occidental Grand Cozumel.

How good is the diving at these places as I plan to get at least 15 or so dives in?
Not expecting it to be as good as Sharm but worried that the diving may not be that good.

Any better options in this region (carribean)?

AOW with 57 Dives went to sharm last year & definatley going back in October this year.

Cozumel diving is excellent. Playa del Carmen diving isn't as great but apparently there are opportunities to see large critters. I only dove the Playa area one day and I didn't see much. The visibility was great (~200'). You could/should try diving in the cenotes while you're on the mainland. That is a very unique, exciting adventure!
