Wow, I'm impressed! You two just gave a lesson in how to behave on a forum (and in life). Great job! Very refreshing after some of the other posts I've read on this and other forums that turn into never-ending battles. If you get to Kentucky (to take advantage of all the great diving we have here :D) I'll buy you both a coke.

Kentucky? I go there often with my horse for shows, where are the good places to dive there, springs I guess? I did a little research but don't know what is actually good. I usually go to the horse park in Lexington, is there anything close that you can recommend, next time I am that way it would be fun to get some diving in too.

Thanks for the replies and info. Tough being a newb.:D

Kmenees. I got certified in Joe's rock quarry in LaGrange and it is nothing than a shallow quarry with a few things in the bottom of it and a few fish. Problem there is its a redneck float fest and the place is trashed and I dont feel good about being underwater there while my stuff is up top.

I have heard that the quarry in Hopkinsville (Pennroyal) is great quarry diving but I have not been there yet.

Never have dove a quarry....

In Florida, hang on to the rope...shallow currents can be brisk.

I just had a friend get back from Pensacola...he had a blast. Great water and visibility was good.
