I took this long walk through VERY loose sand this past weekend; it is around 200 yards, and feels like 300...the water temperature was much closer to a brisk 64*(average) than 68*, and the lowest I saw was 61* at 50 feet. St Andrews State Park (Panama City Beach) has a jetty with a shorter & easier walk, and the diving is a little more interesting IMO.
