yes I know about those pics of sharpnose. They aer around and fun to watch but move to the point where it's tough to get a good shot. this is about the best one I got and it's cropped from the orginal. l

Lisa, I must have 200 bad images of them... maybe more...one tough little fish to get a good image of.

Awesome pictures Jim. Really glad to see some pictures from you again. Glad you were able to get back in the water. I am really jealous of the Nudi pictures...they are awesome. I have yet to get a picture of one yet. Hopefully we can dive again together soon. Let me know if you get back on the Miss Teak again soon.

Took a while for my ankle to heal after the Great Barrier Reef diving trip, and while I've been diving this month, the vis has been so bad that I did not like most of my pictures. Sure, could post a lot of flounder head shots.. but seen one, seen them all.

I did like this 5 inch or so Cowery from the week before:

And I am a sucker for any octo image:

but you can see the vis was terrible (maybe 6 ft) at the time:

I'm kind of happy with this guy (about as hard to get as a sharp nose puffer:

Nice!
did you take the shot of your Avatar? What kind is that?

Yes, from Heron Island in GBR. A very close relative to the sharpnose... but like everything in the GBR, with a lot more color.
