Ok, diving off shore this last month has generally sucked. But it seems to be finally getting better. The top water is now reasonable, and the bottom is getting better.

Dove both Sat and Sunday out of Scubatech, using Miss Teak.

The boat has undergone some serious refinishing and now appears to be in fairly good shape.

We did two dives on the east stack on Sat (students on board, and all the other locations had boats on them) and Amberjack followed by the Navy barge.

Some pictures (macro because of the limited vis):

Once a year, the regal sea goddesses get together to make more regal sea goddesses... they clump together, then break off in pairs and have Nudi fun... well Sunday was that day, so if you happen to be there during that 2 minute time, you got this:

Then they split up and went their separate ways:

I got to practice taking pictures of a little tiny sharp nose puffer, about half an inch long...

On Amberjack, my dive buddy found a really big lobster... something I have not seen this shallow in over ten years...

and just a couple more fish:

Lovely conditions both days, just wish the water would clear up.

I love the sea goddesses shots! and I always trying to get the perfect shot of those little sharpnose puffers. they are so cute!

Lisa, thanks. With sharpnose puffers, I usually have them in a great position, but out of focus, or in focus and with the classic fish butt picture.

Awesome pictures Jim. Really glad to see some pictures from you again. Glad you were able to get back in the water. I am really jealous of the Nudi pictures...they are awesome. I have yet to get a picture of one yet. Hopefully we can dive again together soon. Let me know if you get back on the Miss Teak again soon.

yes I know about those pics of sharpnose. They aer around and fun to watch but move to the point where it's tough to get a good shot. this is about the best one I got and it's cropped from the orginal. l

Puffer Fish, I met you back in april on the sea cobra. Dan was my instructor for AOW.
Great shots!

Great pics. So, how are Nancy, Greg and the Rabbi & gang doing? Got my open water there at Scubatech. Great crew!

tough times.... sea cobra has been sitting there....lots of pacing and worrying about oil, and business and people coming to the gulf.... but great people. Don't forget Carla and Steve.
