and how do I change it back to just a regular thing like member or something?

It's called the User Title.

SB staff and Supporting Members can change it themselves. Other members need to ask a Mod to reset it.

As El Orans mentioned, to customize your user title you must be a mod or a supporting member. You can however change which group title you show up as by modifying your display preferences at http://www.scubaboard.com/profile.php?do=editusergroups.
